Connection with Japan 11 ~ External Pressure ~

There was always pressure from foreign countries.

In 1757 Britain won France in the Battle of Plush and took control of the Mughal Empire (now India).

Following various wars with the domestic clan kingdom, the Great Indian Rebellion occurred in 1857 and the Mughal Empire was destroyed in 1858.

There are tenacious and terrifying things in Britain over the last 100 years.

Britain began to take substantial direct control.

What about the Qing Empire (now China)?

It was defeated in the Opium War that began in 1840, and the Western affairs movement was launched in the 1860s.

This is a movement aimed at strengthening national power by introducing Western technology.

However, following the defeat of the Sino-Japanese War in 1894, he seeks to change the political system itself through reformation of administration systems.

The government tried to introduce a constitutional monarchy, but it was frustrated by the oppression of the Western Mother.

 How about Japan?

In 1853, Perry arrived, and in 1867 the Edo Shogunate collapsed due to the Great Government dedication, and the feudal system changed to a constitutional monarchy by the Meiji Restoration.

The emperors of the great powers don't want to let go of power easily.

This slows down the sense of speed.

It can be said that in the era of imperialism, speedy response to change was required.
